Shammy's Carwash by DTB Auto Spa

Goto coined car wash with a workable bay. Takes a bit for selections to kick in and on soap suds are not immediate. Nonetheless, price point fair and drying space is tight. Also next to a Pet Wash.

A few of the wash options did not work. I could not get the wax, spot free rinse or one of the other last options to work. It was also a pain that there was a $5 minimum for credit cards. So if you needed more time, you have to spend $5 regardless of how little more time you need.

Service is too expensive for a single wash. New management should explore subscription service. Current price is almost the cost of h20 touch-less service(with the 25% discounts). Also vacuum does not take card and should probably be free. A lot of vacuum services are “free” around town. Everything else is great. Loved the different options for washing! Updated After the response from the owner, I had a look at my credit card and saw a $5 charge as opposed the $10 I thought I saw on the dashboard. Updated to 4 star from an initial 2 as I believe vacuum should be free or at the very least take card (had to drive to Benny’s as I had no quarters on me).

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Tried to use the machine to get glass cleaner that costs $2, but ended up putting in $3 because the machine didn't count 4 of my quarters toward my total. Wanted to go through the auto wash today but I've used the manual wash before and the knob to choose soap/high pressure water/brush wasn't working right and I decided not to play myself a third time with this place. I try to support smaller places like this, but this was unacceptable. And I'm still waiting on a response from the owner about this situation.

Evacuating to Houston due to Hurricane Ida, we were returning home and extremely grateful to God the electricity had been restored. We stopped in to vacuum the vehicle prior to making it home. I believe the time was 10pm-ish and we searched and found this gem to be available for our vacuuming pleasure. Maybe not the safest thing to do at this hour, but it was imperative that we get rid of the dog hair in the vehicle before returning it to its rightful owner. Lol. I’m that we are card carriers, we didn’t have the necessary change to power on the vacuum; so we made a mad dash to the nearby gas station for the coins needed to make the magic happen. Returning to Shammy’s, we vacuum and did a quick wash of the two vehicles in our small but packed caravan. The vacuum was quite powerful, I was able to get all the dog hair removed with a few seconds to spare. The suction was strong and this made my job all the easier. After a couple quick, yet thorough passes, the job was done and we were able to move to the “quick” wash next. The water streaming from the washing hose was colddddddddd yet efficient enough to shake loose the bug juice, dirt and other debris that we accumulated along t
